Government-funded settlement services

IRCC funds settlement organizations that provide free services to eligible newcomers. Eligibility and the period during which services are available depend on the newcomer’s immigration category and current government rules.

Pre-arrival planning

Some approved permanent residents can access free pre-arrival services before travelling to Canada. These services can help with employment preparation, community connections and practical settlement planning.

Immigration-document follow-up

New permanent residents may need to address PR cards, SIN applications, family-member applications or status documentation after arrival.

Elboniel’s role

Elboniel can provide immigration-related guidance and point clients to appropriate official or community resources. Community settlement agencies often provide broader day-to-day settlement services at no charge to eligible newcomers.
